LCME Findings 2022

Based on the January 2022 Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) full survey visit and submissions, the LCME awarded full accreditation to the College of Medicine – Tucson’s medical education program. The college has posted a Summary of LCME Findings and Supplemental Materials containing further context, progress, and action notes for faculty, students, and staff (requires NetID and password to view). To keep the COM-T community informed on the status of the action plan and timelines for implementation, we are providing regular status updates, leading up to the January 2024 Limited Survey Visit, which are listed below.

Consultation with the LCME Secretariat

On December 5 and 6, 2022, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) Secretariat conducted a consultation with the dean, administration, faculty, and staff members on the college's action plans to address the LCME's findings from the 2022 full survey visit. The consultation was for the college's benefit and included discussions on whether the action steps to address each cited element are feasible, timely, and have the potential to resolve the LCME's concerns. The consultation itinerary, action plan, and supporting documentation were distributed to college participants. The Director of Accreditation, Raquel Givens, hosted virtual orientation sessions the week of November 28, 2022. If you have any questions about the consultation and action plan, please contact the Accreditation and Analytics Office.
